Hi, reading all these comments about not getting the promised "Welcome gift" should really raise a concern for you. You are loosing or will loose subscribers here if it looks as this is a fake promise. This is going on over a long time. For a guy writing about system design this flaw has a "wrong taste" to me. Why don't you simply provide a link to all complaining subscribers as comment response? The mail way cleary does not work always. What would you loose? You would earn their and my trust. Hinting to the mail which clearly fails often and not solving this process in your business model will hurt you success and mission. Find another way of providing the document besides from the Substack welcome mail which seems to have problems reaching the people.

If you're already a subscriber, try searching your mailbox first. If you're not subscribed yet, the email should arrive shortly after you subscribe.

The welcome mail only has the "Choose a subscription plan" section
Please check the welcome email in all folders. (You should receive it a few minutes after joining the newsletter.)

- if you don't receive it, just reply to my last newsletter or the next one with "playbook"
could you please check all folders for the welcome email? Also, make sure you've the email option turned on and not just app notifications.
